Among the many victims of 9/11 were the businesses of downtown Manhattan. In the aftermath of the World Trade Center attacks, formerly thriving businesses suddenly had no customers. The Downtown Alliance asked if we could help. These lighthearted spots, with voiceover by Robert De Niro, encouraged people to come down and give their support.

Charm. Talent. Beauty. Julianne Moore really does have it all. No wonder she’s one of my favorite actresses. It was a true pleasure working with her on this spot, which also features the voiceover of Ellen Barkin, who at the time was married to Revlon Chairman Ron Perelman. One more thing about Julianne: she is as nice and unpretentious as any A-list actor you will ever meet. Truth.
